Jacob wanted to start a blog so I figured it would be great "homework" for him to document his days and learn how. Probably won't hurt me to learn something new too! As of tomorrow, he will be telling tales of his days and all of the excitement of homeschooling.
As I sit here watching The Husband play with baby K, the other 4 are at the neighbors gathering eggs and feeding chickens and goats. We would love to have all of those animals but for now, it is wonderful to let the kids "help" the wonderful neighbors and not have to build fences and barns! Maybe someday, we can always dream...
We will spend the rest of the evening preparing the walls and trim for painting. I finally decided on a medium blue, Sherwin Williams "Take Five". It will take longer to patch and sand than to actually paint. I'm guessing the house will be torn up for a few weeks until we get it done. Of course after that there is the laundry room, bathroom, bedroom....After almost 7 years, it looks a little rough around here with 6 boys (yes, I include The Husband as one of the mess-makers) and 3 dogs!
Off to make some stir-fry for supper and get back to patching!
